Gabriel
Family: Heaven · Role: chief of the angelic guards · First appears: Book 4
In Book.4, after Uriel warned that a banished spirit had entered Eden, Gabriel was charged with finding him. That evening he deployed the angelic guard, ordering Uzziel to divide the watch and directing Ithuriel and Zephon to search the garden. When the intruder proved to be Satan, Gabriel challenged him for breaking the bounds and disturbing the charge; after divine scales revealed Satan’s weakness, Satan fled Paradise.
In Book.6, God appointed Gabriel, next to Michael in military prowess, to lead Heaven’s armies. In the battle, Gabriel fought Moloch, who had defied him, and defeated him.
